How did Lil Wayne make it to the top, after starting as a teen?

when he first started rapping he was in a group called"hot boys".
He never much stood out in the group, and the beginning of his solo career he wasn't much noticed either, overlooked. He has so much charisma & talent. He finally started getting big during the release of his 2004 album "the carter" and it went from there.

now although some of his record sales weren't always good , he was doing great releasing numerous mixtapes & freestyles daily! He started at the bottem & made it to the top with lots and lots of time and hardwork he is now the boss & ceo of cashmoney records same place where his career began. he is so talented just in 2007 he released 77 songs. whos done that??


In my opinon his career is just beginning & he's gonna get hotter by the second because he is the best rapper alive!

How does Lil Waynes music affect teens?

Lil Wayne has a very powerful affect on teens right now. Considering he is one of the hottest rappers in the game right now. Teens all over the world listen to his music & yes some of his songs are a bit raunchy but he has some very powerful meanings & metaphors.Some of his songs talk about his family, friends,growing up in the hood, family issues that most of us young generation go through ourselves. Being a teen myself i would have to say his music helps me through alot especially at the age i am where the littlest things seem like the end of the world.
I can just throw in one of his cds and its like were going through the same things.

He Is young is self just turning 25 in the beginning of October so he knows what its like to be young. what its like dealing with relationships wheather it be with your boyfriend or girlfriend,your best friend even your mom & dad. He is deep & say some deep true things.

I think his music affects teens but not in a totally negative way yes he swears & partys but who doesn't? It was seems like he understands because hes been through most of it.

Besides rap what else does Lil Wayne do?

Besides rap, Lil wayne has a clothing line coming out.
He is making both men & womans clothes. The mens clothing ine will be called "Foreign money". It will be a hip hop rockstar kind of mix.

The womans clothing line will be called " Double U". There is no set date when the clothing line will be out probably in the next year or so. Also Lil wayne is going to be on a online reality show "Making the next hit" to help discover models,singers,rappers, actors & things of that nature.

He also has been in movies & has many movies in the making. He also will be apearing in upcoming episodes of "The Boondocks" a cartoon on adult swim. Lil wayne has many other projects in the making that are still underwraps but hes already taken over the rap game so we'll see what he does next!!

Dwayne Michael Carter "Lil Wayne" born September 27, 1982 In New Orleans 17th ward Holly grove. His father left when he was an infant. His mother raised him with the help of his step father Reginald "rabbit" Carter untill he passes when wayne was 16.

He was in school and tryed staying off the streets but it was hard when thats all your surounded with. He started rapping at the age of 11 at block parties where he met cashmoney and it went on from there! now he is the ceo & boss at the label where he first started.

How did lil wayne start rapping?

Lil Wayne first started listening to artists such as "pimp daddy" & U.N.L.V. He considers them to be one of his influences. He started off rapping with his friends, at block parties, thats where he was noticed by Lil slim i member of cash money. When he heard wayne he liked what he heard & gave him his phone number. He later met the owners of cash money, Brian "baby" Williams & Ronald "slim" Williams at a autograph signing.

Lil Waynes free styling was very impressive to the members of cash money, but they were still not ready to sign him. Lil Wayne used to freestyle on "babys" answering machine,after a while "baby" could see how determined Wayne was & he became an official member of cash money record. He connected with B.G. another former member of cashmoney they released there first album "true story" in 1995.

By 1997 wayne & other members of cashmoney formed "hot Boys" and released there first cd "get it how you live" .In 1998 they released there second album "gorilla welfare. Followed was "let em burn in 2003. Wayne started recording his own Cd in 1999. The single "the block is hot". His career has been blowing up ever since underground & industry.

okay,this is my first blog entry as you can see it is all about LIL WAYNE. He is one of the most talented rap artists in the music game,in my opinion. Hes a lyrical genius. The words and metaphors he using in his songs are amazing. He also is very popular and alot of people my age listen to him, his music and lyrics are very powerful and say some very deep things.

I think that he characterizes teen culture because hes been rapping since he was a teen himself,and in the rap game since the 90's. Hes came from the bottom to the top, starting as just another young rapper now is the boss of cash money records where he started his career. Also so many teens listen to him, and are influenced by him and his songs. Hes considered one of the best rappers alive right now, which i agree. If we took a survey in school over half would have least heard of him.Hes all over the radio and the tv. Lil Wayne is everywhere and i don't think him or his music going anywhere to many teens including myself love him and admire him.
